We started off this morning with an 8:20 am fiducial. Breakfast was served by the lovely kitchen staff of camp Shorebrook. After packing up all of our things from our cabins, we headed out to complete our last round of activities, where all of us either had the chance to canoe, learn about wildlife survival or bond with other Shads while making friendship bracelets.
After that, we watched two incredible Shad Speaks about robotics and personal journeys through education. We had our last lunch at camp, making sure to thank all the staff for their hard work. With a quick sweep of the our cabins, we were ready to head off.
We boarded the bus to leave camp and return back home to Bennett. The drive lasted three and a half hours and gave us all time to reflect on our time at camp and to get to spend time with our fellow Shads. Upon arriving at Bennett, we were given free time to readjust to being back at Mount Allison and to go to Jennings for a wonderful dinner that had been well-missed.
After dinner we split into project time for four hours where we finalized our business plans and prepared for our final pitches that are scheduled for tomorrow. During those hours we worked hard with our teams to perfect the products and plans that we’ve been working on for the past month here. During project time, the staff team surprised us with pizza and garlic fingers, which made all of our days and motivated us to keep pushing ourselves.
At evening recap, we celebrated Andrew’s birthday and rejoiced in reaching the end of phase one of our DE project, and then the teams separated to finish off their presentations.
