FAQs

What not to bring?

Strongly scented products: SHAD Mount Allison is a fragrance free environment because of allergies of SHADs and staff. Please leave perfume and cologne at home

How much money should I bring?

You do not need any money except for sufficient funds to pay for the transportation to and from the program, if you are not planning on catching the shuttle bus. There are no additional mandatory expenses. All of the outings, meals, and special events are covered by the program. Shads will have an opportunity to purchase custom designed items such as a t-shirt and sweater (approximately $50) to commemorate their SHAD experiences. You may want money for things such as snacks occasionally or for souvenirs from some of the places we visit.

We advise against bringing large amounts of money or other valuables (expensive jewelry and watches). There is no need for such items, and we cannot accept responsibility if they go missing.
